p-Phenylenediamine dihydrobromide 와 p-phenylenediamine dihydrochloride는 isomorphous임을 밝혔다. p-Phenylenediamine dihydrobromide는 삼사축결정계(삼사정계)에 속하며 cell dimension 은 a=4.52±0.02, b=6.13±0.02, c=8.88±0.03Å, α=111±1。, β=97±1。, γ=101±1。 이며 단위세포(단위격자)속에 들어잇는 화학단위수는 1이다. 이 물질의 결정구조가 3결정축에 따라 투영한 전자밀도에 의하여 결정되었으며 이차원적인 Fourier synthesis에 의하여 정밀화하였다.

p-Phenylenediamine dihydrobromide and p-phenylenediamine dihydrochloride are found to be isomorphous. p-Phenylenediamine dihydrobromide is triclinic with lattice parameters, a = 4.52±0.02Å, b = 6.13±0.02Å, c = 8.88±0.03Å, α = 111±1°, β = 97±1°, γ = 101±1°. It belongs to space group P1- and there is one molecule in the unit cell. The crystal structure is determined according to the method of Fourier synthesis from the electron density projections in three principal crystallographic axes. The crystal structure, thus determined is refined by the method of two-dimensional difference Fourier synthesis.
