 3차 알릴 알코올을 산화하여 α,β-불포화카르보닐 화합물을 얻은 일반적인 방법을 검토하였다. 비교적 간단한 화합물의 경우 우수한 수득율로 작용기가 이동된 카르보닐 화합물을 얻을 수 있었다. 따라서 이 반응은 유용한 합성 수단이 될 수 있다.

A general synthesis of α,β-unsaturated carbonyl compounds has been developed by oxidation of t-allylic alcohols. In simpler system, pyridinium chlorochromate oxidation affords the functionality transposed carbonyls in excellent yields, making the reaction a useful and versatile synthetic method.
