Several Pt(Ⅱ) complexes containing glycine (or glycino anion) and styrene have been prepared, and their structures have been confirmed by infrared spectroscopy. The results confirm the structure of chloro(glycino)(styrene)platinum(Ⅱ) in which the nitrogen atom of the chelated glycino anion is coordinated to the platinum in the trans position to styrene (N-trans isomer).
