The purpose of this paper is to use lignin. Lignin was obtained by digestion of Korean pine wood, purified, and identified. After carbonizing lignin by con c-H2SO4, the resulting carbon was converted into active carbon by activating it in the electric kiln. The adsorptivity of this active carbon was obtained by measurement with a spectro-photometer. It has been found as a result that adsorption power is 89%.
