Determination of Gold in Ores

5-Phenyl-tetrazole은 광분해하면 질소 한 분자를 방출하며 1,3-dipole인 C-phenyl-nitrilei-mine을 형성한다. 그러나 이때 dipolarphile의 존재하에서 1,3-dipole-cyclo-addition은 일으키지 않으며 이중합체인 3,6-diphenyl-1,4-dihydro-1,2,4,5-tetrazine(III)을 거쳐 최종산물로서 3,6-diphenyl-1,2,4,5-tetrazine(IV), 2,5-diphenyl-1,2,4-triazole, 4-amino-3,5-diphenyl-1,2,4-triazole, benzonitrile, ammonia 그리고 nitrogen을 생성한다.

A method of determination of gold in ores has been established: Dissolved ore solution is evaporated to dryness, redissolved with 0.1N HCl then chloroaurate formed is adsorbed on anion exchange resin, Dowex 1·× 4. The resin is ignited and the residue is dissolved with HCl-HNO3. After evaporation of the acid, and then dilution with water, sodium azide is added. The gold is extracted with amyl alcohol from the solution buffered to pH 6. The gold is determined by measuring absorbancy of the alcohol layer spectrophotometricaly at 385mμ. Various factors, HCl concentration, amount of the resin rate, if adsorption, foreign ions, effecting to the method, have been examined. This method seems to be satisfactory for the determination of gold presented dawn to 1g per metric ton in ore.
