Structural Study Using Ultrahigh Resolution Cabon Nanotube AFM Probe Tips

고분해능 탄소나노튜브 AFM 탐침을 이용한 구조 분석 연구

고분해능 Atomic Force Microscopy(AFM) 탐침을 제작하기 위하여 단일벽 탄소나노튜브 AFM 탐침을 화학기상 증착법을 사용하여 상용 실리콘 탐침위에 증착시켰다. 증착 조건 및 촉매입자의 크기를 변화시켜 탄소나노튜브의 직경을 조절하였다. 제작된 탄소나노튜브 탐침을 이용하여 자기 결합된 다중 펩타이드 나노 구조의 고분해능 AFM 이미지를 얻을 수 있었다.

To develop high resolution AFM tips, single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNT) were grown directly on conventional silicon scanning probe microscope tip by chemical vapor deposition(CVD). Controlled size of SWNT tips have been prepared by variations in the size of catalyst and growth conditions. These SWNT tips have been used to demonstrate ultrahigh-resolution structural imaging of self-assembled poly-peptide nanostructure systems.
