Studies on the Separation of Maleic Anhydride Adducts of Soybean Oil

대두유의 말레산화생성물의 분별에 관한 연구

말레산화대두유의 부가생성물의 분별과 그 특성을 구명하기 위하여 대두유 초성 성분인 올레산과 리놀산을 말레산무수물과 반응시켜, 이를 TLC에 가하여 분별하였다. 전개용매로서는 석유에테르 : 디에틸에테르 = 7 : 3 ∼ 5 : 5(vol/vol)에서 가장 분별이 잘 되었으며, 4구분으로 각각 분별되었으며, 이 중에서 주생성물인 제 2구분을 IR 및 UV에 의하여 검색한 결과는 올레산부가물과 리놀산부가물은 succinic acid 형 부가를 하고 있으며, 짝지은 디엔 C18 지방산은 cyclohexene형의 부가를 이루고 있음을 확인하였다.

Author studied on the isolation technique and properties of the products obtained by the reaction of soybean oil with maleic anhydride. Before studying above purpose, oleic acid and linoleic acid contained in soybean oil were reacted with maleic anhydride. Thin-layer chromatography using silica coated plate and solvent system consisting of petroleum ether-diethyl ether = 7:3∼5:5 (v/v) resulted in good effects on the isolation of maleic anhydride adducts. Four fractions were separated and fraction No. 2 were analyzed by IR & UV spectrophotometer, obtaining the following conclusions. In the case of oleic acid adduct and linoleic acid adduct, it were conjectured that the succinic acid type adduct was formed. In the case of conjugated C18 fatty acid adduct, cyclohexene type adduct was formed which differed from oleic acid and linoleic acid adduct.
