Title	Linear Relationships between Thermodynamic Parameters (Part 1) Theoretical 열역학 함수간의 직선관계 (제1보) 이론

Abstract	Inter-relationship between the Hammett equation and the linear enthalpy-entropy effect has been discussed by deriving a new set of equations; ΔΔH≠ = aσ + bΔΔS≠ and ΔΔF≠ = aσ + (b-T)ΔΔS≠ where a = -1.36ρ. Theoretical analysis show that the Hammett, Leffler and Brown equations are special limited forms of these general equations. A necessary and sufficient test of substituent effect can thus be provided by the plot of (ΔΔH≠ - aσ) versus ΔΔS≠.
