Abstract	Chemical shift differences of vinyl protons of cis- and trans-cinnamonitrile derivatives are very well correlated with (σI, σR0), σP+, and (F, R) (r = 0.9996-0.8946), much better correlation than the case of methyl cinnamates. para-Substituted and trans-cinnamonitrile derivatives have larger resonance contribution than meta-substituted and cis-derivatives.
