Abstract	Several series of compounds (benzoic acids, pyrazolecarboxylic acids, phenoxyacetic acids, and quinolinoxyacetic acids) were prepared and evaluated for their inhibitory activity against PTP-1B. Several compounds showed submicromolar inhibitory activity.
